Welcome to Stowe!

Thank you so much for traveling to Vermont - we love this area dearly, and we’re excited to share it with you! If you’re looking for some fun activities to pass the time while you’re visiting, we’ve provided a list of some of our favorites here:

Skiing!

We couldn’t possibly make a list of winter activities at Stowe without including skiing! Stowe Mountain Resort is just up the road, Sugarbush Resort is just 40 minutes away to the south, and for a different flair, try night skiing at Bolton Valley Resort 30 minutes to the west.

There is also plenty of cross country skiing nearby: Trapp Family Lodge and the Stowe Touring Center can both be found in Stowe, and nearby Bolton Valley Resort offers cross country skiing as well.

Breakfast and Coffee

Here are some places you could likely find Meghan and Sam on a Saturday morning:

Breakfast:

  • Maxi’s: A Waterbury staple. Maxi’s brings a laid back diner vibe

  • Red Hen: Fresh bread, baked goods, AND locally sourced? You can’t do much better than Ren Hen. It’s worth the drive!

  • Butler’s Pantry: In the heart of Stowe - pair this with Black Cap!

  • The Skinny Pancake: You like crepes? They got some real good crepes.

  • The Round Hearth: Not just a welcome party venue! The Round Hearth is beyond cozy and welcoming (psst… it’s on the way to Stowe Resort)

Coffee:

  • Artisan Coffee: A Lisa Condon favorite! No trip goes unfinished without a visit.

  • The Roastery: Looking for a complex cup? Go here for interesting coffee conversations with the owners!

  • Black Cap: instead of the Starbucks across the street, check out local favorite Black Cap right on Main Street!
